ÿ TURN OFF COMPUTER / MONITOR AT NIGHT
ÿ CHANGE LIGHTS TO CFL’s (save’s 70% $60 over it’s lifetime)
ÿ DRYING YOUR CLOTHES OUTSIDE (At least 6 months /yr saves $700)
ÿ SHOP IN THRIFT STORES FOR CLOTHING (& DONATE USED CLOTHING TO THRIFT STORES TO BE REUSED).
ÿ SEND OLD GUITAR STRINGS TO LOCAL JEWLERY MAKER WYM.COM

10 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

1. Use Energy Star Appliances Energy Star
(save 30% a year!)
2.Unplug any unused NON energy star appliances when not in use
(save up to .8 tons of Co2/yr)
3.Travel Light (Walk or carpool when you can) www.erideshare.com
avoiding just 10 miles of driving every week would eliminate about 500 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions a year
Use hybrid vehicles for long trips) if you eliminate 1 long air flight a year (you save 2.2 tons)
4.Recycle/Reuse (save .9 tons of Co2)
5.Shop at thrift stores for clothing
6.Use cloth bags instead of the stores bags when shopping
7.Compost (save 4.5 yons of Co2/yr)
8.Plant your own sustainable veggie garden
(even potted plants on your patio!)
